Our Soup Kitchens continue to offer food to families and the elderly in all our countries. Ukraine has still been able to offer hot meals (delivered to the elderly), but the others offer packet or tinned food parcels for recipients to take home.
Our After School programmes for children in their communities offer packaged meals for them to take home instead of sit-down, hot meals.
Our Bible Correspondence programme is steadily growing and provides good contact with the children. An increasing number of children as well as adults have also been signing up for it.
Albania and Bosnia & Herzegovina have been able to continue with some outreach meetings for children and young people, such as teenage and children’s groups, and Bible studies.
All of our family workers continue to be busy, delivering to families regular food and hygiene parcels, clothing, shoes and other practical help, and providing emotional support, prayer, and advice to parents and caregivers.
While we couldn’t offer summer camps in the usual way, our field staff have offered shorter alternatives that met coronavirus requirements.
